1. SBI Clerk 2025 Notification Overview 

  • Vacancies: SBI has released the 2025 notification for 6,589 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) posts—5,180 regular vacancies plus 1,409 backlog positions. 
  • Application Window: Opens on 6 August 2025 and closes on 26 August 2025.
  • Selection Process: Consists of three stages– Preliminary Exam → Main Exam → Language Proficiency Test (LPT). 

2. Important Dates 

  • Prelims Exam Dates: 20, 21 & 27 September 2025. 
  • Document Verification: Starts for required candidates post-LPT—check SBI’s careers portal for schedule. 

3. Eligibility Criteria 

  • Age Limit: 20–28 years as of 1 April 2025 (born between 2 April 1997 – 1 April 2005). Age relaxations: OBC (+3 yrs), SC/ST (+5 yrs), PwBD(Gen/EWS +10 yrs, OBC +13 yrs, SC/ST +15 yrs).
  • Education: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students may apply if degree proof is submitted by 31 December 2025. 

4. Exam Pattern (Prelims & Mains) 

  • Prelims (100 marks): English Language 30 questions; Numerical Ability and Reasoning 35 questions each; Duration: 1 hour; negative marking applies. 
  • Mains (200 marks, ~2h40m): 190 questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, General/Financial Awareness, English Language. 

5. Salary Structure & Career Growth 

  • Basic Pay: ₹24,050; with two advance increments (for graduates), initial basic pay becomes ₹26,730. 
  • Emoluments: Total monthly salary (basic + allowances) ranges: 
    • Approx. ₹26,000–₹29,000 (initial)
    • Up to ₹45,888 gross; ₹39,500–₹42,500 net depending on city. 
    • Allowances: Includes DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Special Allowance, medical, newspaper allowances, PF, NPS, and more. 
  • Salary Progression: With annual increments, basic pay may reach ₹64,480 over time. Promotional paths available for clerks to move into officer cadre. 

6. Selection Process & Final Stages 

  1. Prelims → qualify to appear for Mains. 
  2. Mains → then proceed to Language Proficiency Test (LPT). 
  3. After LPT, Document Verification is conducted for shortlisted candidates.
